`Petitioners, Facebook, Inc. and Instagram, LLC, (“Petitioners”) hereby
`
`request refund of their post-institution fees in the amount of $18,000 deposited in
`
`the above proceeding on June 15, 2016 for the foregoing reasons:
`

`
`Petitioners filed their Petition for Covered Business Method Patent
`
`Review of U.S. Patent No. 9,037,502 on June 15, 2016. At that time, Petitioners
`
`deposited with the PTAB the covered business method review request and covered
`
`business method review post-institution fees in the total amount of $30,000. The
`
`fees were charged to Cooley LLP’s account number 50-1283.
`
`2.
`
`On November 23, 2016, the Board denied Petitioners’ Petition for
`
`Covered Business Method Patent Review (Paper No. 7).
`
`3.
`
`On December 22, 2016, Petitioners filed their Request for Rehearing
`
`of the Board’s decision (Paper No. 8).
`
`4.
`
`On September 28, 2017, the Board denied Petitioners’ Request for
`
`Rehearing (Paper No. 12).
`
`For the foregoing reasons, Petitioners request reimbursement of the post-
`
`institution fees of $18,000.
