`
`Feature of the grade & slope system to be competitive with Wirtgen. Keep the machine level with the
`ground under most conditions. Have received a lot of customer feedback on the need for this system.
`Developed a solution that achieves comparable performance and is in some ways superior to the
`Wirtgen solution (because our system continues to use only the front legs for grade control - better
`surface finish). We believe our concept limits the risk of IP conflict.
`
`Summary of technical details: Raises and lowers all four legs at the same rate, keeping the machine
`level, when going into or out of a cut Can be enabled or disabled within the grade & slope as needed.
`Will automatically adjust the rear legs (no operator input needed) to keep the machine level under the
`following conditions:
`•Plunge into cut
`•Easing into or out of cut
`•Jumping an obstacle such as a manhole cover and plunging back into the cut - as long as the
`four leg raise lower feature is utilized (see page 5)
`•When making manual adjustments during cutting (incrementing up or down)
`
`The system will not automatically level the machine when the moldboard is raised and leaving milled
`material in place. Operator will have to turn the four leg leveling system off and manually adjust the rear
`legs in this situation.
