`Re: No Driftwood LNG or their Dangerous Pipelines! (CP21-465-000, CP21-465-001, CP21-465-002}

`lam writing to express my serious concerns regarding Driftwood LNG andtheir pipelines, Line 200 and
`Line 300, The people and fragile wetlandsin Calcasieu and CameronParishesalready suffer extreme
`impacts from thefossil fuel industry. Driftwood LNG, and the 15 other export terminals proposed for the
`region, will result in irreparable harm and lock the worldinto a climate crisis. People are already
`suffering from high rates of cancer, and the air and water are already polluted. Driftwood and the other
`LNG export terminals, with all of their pipelines and infrastructure, are rendering the region
`uninhabitable. | ask you to say no to Driftwood LNG and their dangerous pipelines and prevent further
`destruction of Gulf communities.
`
`The construction and operation of Driftwood LNG and their pipelines would result in the absolute
`destruction of valuable wetlands where federally endangered and threatened species like the Eastern
`Black Rail and Piping Plover nest. The increased ship traffic will put the Gulf’s Bryde’s Whale, Oceanic
`Whitetip Shark, and other federally threatened and endangered species atrisk of marine pollution and
`ship strikes.
`
`The pipelines themselves pose a significant risk to anyonein their vicinity. As we saw with the recent
`Freeport LNG explosion, these projects are dangerous and the potential for disaster is significant. Lines
`200 and 300 would be "42” pipes capable of carrying tremendous quantities of highly explosive gas, and
`it is unacceptable to put Gulf families at such an enormousrisk of harm.
`
`These LNG projects and their infrastructure also cause significant harm to our local culture and economy.
`Air and water pollution, and the loss of wetlands threaten local economic activities such as birdwatching,
`shrimping, fishing, and more. And exporting gas also drives up domestic energy prices, impacting
`families even more. The industry doesn’t provide enough jobs or pay enoughtaxes to justify the amount
`of harm and destruction.
`
`Finally, the Southwest Louisiana region is already among the most impacted in the country by climate
`change. The small fishing village of Cameron, just south of Driftwood, was once a thriving fishing
`community of 10,000 people. In recent years, Cameron has seen most ofits residents migrate due to
`climate change and the powerful storms that slam the Gulf. The construction of even more tracked gas
`export terminals will lock the world into an irreversible climate disaster and make Southwestern
`Louisiana uninhabitable.
