`
`Commenting in reference to dockets CP22-21-000 and CP22-22-000
`
`I write in strong support of approving the Venture Global CP2 LNG terminal located in
`Cameron Parish, Louisiana, and the CP Express pipeline, which will originate in Jasper
`County, Texas, and feed natural gas to the proposed LNG facility.
`
`This much needed LNG pipeline is vital to creating the firm transportation capacity
`needed to transport 4.4 billion cubic feet per day of feed gas required for the proposed
`LNG export operations from natural gas supply points in east Texas and southwest
`Louisiana to the Calcasieu Pass terminal facilities at the mouth of the Gulf of Mexico.
`The terminal will have a nameplate liquefaction capacity of 20 million metric tonnes per
`annum (MTPA) of LNG for export to overseas markets by ocean-going vessels.
`
`Investment & National Security
`The proposed project will allow for increased investment of billions of dollars in new
`facilities, equipment, and labor, spurring much-needed economic development.
`Calcasieu Pass will bring thousands of temporary and hundreds of permanent high-
`paying jobs to Southwestern Louisiana. The project's exports will also support the
`balance of trade for the United States while also enhancing U.S. national security by
`providing LNG to America's strategic allies.
`
`Jobs
`The design, engineering, and construction of the project will create much-needed jobs
`and opportunities. The project anticipates 130 direct jobs, 300 indirect jobs, and 2,100
`construction jobs at peak construction, with high-quality, competitive salaries. The
`project will also inherently provide an indirect economic boost to the area by creating
`and strengthening thousands of jobs throughout Louisiana.
`I strongly urge FERC to quickly approve the CP2 LNG and CP Express Project for the
`reasons stated above.
`
`Venture Global's CP Express is a very important project for us at Sunland Construction in Eunice, LA. We were
`awarded a section of this project last year & were working with Venture Global on all of the preliminary/upfront
`tasks required for such a large project, when the Biden Administration made a bold political move to put a halt
`to all LNG export projects that were to transport LNG to non-NAFTA countries.
`I would like to voice my support for this project to get on the next FERC Docket and to gain final FERC approval
`to move forward to the next hurdle, which is Department of Energy (DOE) approval.
`
`Sincerely,
`Nancy Loewer
