`Subject: 2021 Dam Safety Inspections Conference Call Follow-up for the
`
` Androscoggin River and Kennebec River Watershed Projects.
`
`Dear Ms. Maloney:
`
`
`This letter is a follow up to the conference call on November 15, 2021 with our
`Project Engineer, Harold Kamara, regarding the Owner’s Dam Safety Inspections performed
`by Brookfield. Due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, we were unable to perform the 2021 dam
`safety inspection of the listed projects. As per FERC’s request, Brookfield performed dam
`safety inspections on various dates during 2021 and submitted the completed Owner’s
`Inspection Forms (OIF) on October 19, 2021 (see table below).

`
`Based on our review of the OIFs and discussion during the conference call, you noted
`that the projects are safe for continued operation, and there were no immediate dam safety
`issues identified during the inspections that required immediate remedial action. In addition,
`there was no unusual instrument readings or trends that would indicate a potential or existing
`dam safety concern.
`
`
`We appreciate your effort in performing the Dam Safety Inspections. Your continued
`interest in dam safety is appreciated. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Harold
`Kamara at (212) 273-5916 or email at harold.kamara@ferc.gov.
