`This letter presents (1) an update on the status of Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s
`(PG&E) efforts to address Recommendation 8 (R-8) from the 10th 5-year Part 12D safety
`inspection report (dated October 2021), and (2) PG&E’s status updates for related
`Recommendations 4, 7, 8, and 9 (G5-4, -7, -8, and -9) from the 2020 third 10-year detailed
`radial gate inspection report (GIR) (dated April 30, 2021) for Pit 1 Forebay Dam, which is
`part of PG&E’s Pit 1 Hydroelectric Project, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
`(FERC) No. 2687. PG&E submitted its original plan and schedule for addressing R-8 in a
`letter to your office dated December 1, 2021, and submitted its original plans and
`schedules to address G5-4, G5-7, G5-8, and G5-9 in a letter to your office dated April 30,
`2021.

`PG&E’s status updates are provided in Enclosure 1 of this letter. The Pit 1 Forebay Dam
`Gate 5 radial gate coating evaluation is provided in Enclosure 2.
