`PRIOR TO JANUARY 1, 2025

`This comes before the Court based on its case management obligations to enforce
`
`§744.3135, Fla. Stat. (2024), which requires all guardians and all employees of a professional
`guardian who have a fiduciary responsibility to a ward (except those exempt under § 744.309(4)
`Fla. Stat.(2024)), to submit, at their own expense, to a credit history investigation and to undergo
`level

`screening
`as
`required
`under
`§
`435.04
`Fla.
`Stat.
`
`The Administrative Judge of the Probate Division entered an Administrative
`
`Memorandum on October 1, 2024, which became effective on January 1, 2025, requiring any
`currently appointed guardians, who have not previously submitted a credit history investigation,
`to file the investigation results by January 31, 2025, to maintain their current appointment.
`
`Accordingly, in any guardianship case where a guardian has not filed a credit history
`
`investigation, the deadline is hereby extended to March 31, 2025. Failure to file a copy of the
`credit history investigation may result in sanctions including, but not limited to, fines or removal.
`
