`
`Statement of Information in TA-201-076 – Large Residential Washers
`
`Dear Sec. Barton,
`
`On behalf of Wabash Plastics, Inc., I would like to express support for a robust and effective
`remedy in the International Trade Commission’s Section 201 investigation into large residential
`washers. A healthy U.S. washer manufacturing industry is important to Wabash Plastics, and we
`are hopeful a remedy in this case will lead to impactful relief for domestic washer manufacturers.
`
`Located in Evansville, Indiana, Wabash Plastics was founded in 1973, and for over 40 years we
`have been a leading manufacturer of custom injection molded components and assemblies. We
`have served a wide variety of industries throughout our history including appliance, automotive,
`HVAC and consumer goods, just to name a few. Today, our dedicated and experienced team of
`230 hard-working Americans provide market leading products, service, and support to our
`customers.
`
`As the International Trade Commission determines what remedy to recommend in this case, we
`ask you to consider the impact the remedy has on upstream component suppliers, like Wabash
`Plastics. Increased volumes of washing machines produced in the U.S. means increased
`production for component suppliers. That increased component production translates into more
`jobs and additional reinvestment into American manufacturing.
`
`Wabash Plastics is well situated to supply additional component parts to U.S. washer
`manufacturers. We recently completed a 50,000 square foot expansion aimed at future growth.
`A robust and effective remedy in this case should allow us to put that expansion to use.
`
`Thank you for your time and consideration in this manner. We look forward to seeing the
`International Trade Commission’s recommendation.
`
`Sincerely,
`
`
`
`Scott A Schroeder
`VP – Wabash Plastics, Inc.
