`On June 17, 2016, Respondents Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Corp., Wuhan Iron and

`Steel Co., Ltd., and WISCO America Co., Ltd. (collectively “Wuhan Respondents”) filed a
`
`motion for an extension of time to respond to Complainant’s initial discovery requests (Motion
`
`Docket No. 1002-011) and a motion seeking an extension of time to respond to the Complaint
`
`and Notice of Investigation (Motion Docket No. 1002-012). Both motions state that there is no
`
`opposition from the Commission Investigative Staff. Complainant United States Steel (“US
`
`Steel”) filed a response on June 17, 2016, stating no opposition to the requested extensions but
`
`opposing any further delay.
`
`The Complaint and Notice of Investigation were served on the Wuhan Respondents on
`
`May 26, 2016, and pursuant to Commission Rule 210.13, responses are due within 20 days, with
`
`certain additional days added for service by express delivery pursuant to Commission Rule ,
`
`201.16. See 19 C.F.R. § 210.13 (specifying 20-day deadline to respond to complaint and notice
`
`of investigation); 19 C.F.R. § 210.16(e) (allowing one additional day for express delivery to a
`
`domestic respondent and five additional days for express delivery to a foreign respondent).

`On June 17, 2016, Respondents Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Corp., Wuhan Iron and

`Steel Co., Ltd., and WISCO America Co., Ltd. (collectively “Wuhan Respondents”) filed a
`
`motion for an extension of time to respond to Complainant’s initial discovery requests (Motion
`
`Docket No. 1002-011) and a motion seeking an extension of time to respond to the Complaint
`
`and Notice of Investigation (Motion Docket No. 1002-012). Both motions state that there is no
`

`Complainant served initial discovery "requests upon the Wuhan Respondents on June 3, 2016.
`
`The Wuhan Respondents seek an extension of approximately two weeks, to June 30, 2016, to
`
`respond to the Complaint and Notice of Investigation and respond to the discovery requests. The
`
`Wuhan Respondents state that good cause exists for such an extension because the Complaint
`
`alleges unfair acts of competition, including antitrust violations, that are expected to require
`
`more investigation than, for instance, a typical patent-infringement action. In addition, the
`
`Wuhan Respondents cite the breadth of the requests, the complexity of the investigation, and
`
`intervening Chinese national holidays. The Wuhan Respondents also state that they are still
`
`working to secure legal counsel.
`
`Because the motion is unopposed and for good cause shown, Motion Docket Nos. 1002-
`
`011 and 1002-O12 are hereby GRANTED.
