`Having reViewed the parties’ initial claim construction briefs, the undersigned notes that
`
`Respondent has proposed 22 terms for construction. The undersigned also notes that 95 claims
`
`have been asserted across two patents. Both of these numbers are excessive. Complainant is
`
`strongly encouraged to make a concerted effort to narrow the number of asserted claims.
`
`Respondent should likewise make a concerted effort to reduce the number of claim terms at issue
`
`to fewer than 10. Should the number of proposed claim terms remain above ten, the undersigned
`
`can only guarantee that the Markman order will issue before the evidentiary hearing. The parties
`
`are therefore directed to meet and confer no later than March 5, 2018 to discuss reducing the
`
`number of asserted claims; as well as the number of claim terms proposed for construction.
