`
`ORDER NO. 15:
`
`GRANTING JOINT MOTION TO EXTEND THE DEADLINE FOR
`MOTIONS TO COMPEL DISCOVERY REGARDING CERTAIN
`TOPICS
`
`(January 26, 2024)
`
`Complainants JUUL Labs, Inc. and VMR Products LLC, and respondents NJOY, LLC,
`
`NJOY Holdings, Inc., Altria Group, Inc., Altria Group Distribution Company, and Altria Client
`
`Services LLC move for a two-week extension of the deadline for motions to compel regarding
`
`complainants’ Rule 30(b)(6) Topic Nos. 39, 43, 45, 46, and 74 as limited by the information sought
`
`in complainants’ Interrogatory Nos. 17-18 and 20-21. The proposed new deadline is February 2,
`
`2024. Motion Docket No. 1368-006 (EDIS Doc. ID 812655) at 1. The Commission Investigative
`
`Staff does not oppose. Id.
`
`The motion states: (1) complainants raised certain issues after the depositions of two of
`
`respondents’ Rule 30(b)(6) witnesses; (2) in an attempt to resolve the dispute, the parties agreed
`
`that respondents would answer interrogatories directed at certain of the Rule 30(b)(6) topics; and
`
`(3) complainants served additional interrogatories on January 16, 2024. Id. at 2. Because
`
`respondents’ responses to the January 16 interrogatories are not due until January 26, an extension
`
`of time through February 2 for a motion to compel will allow complainants the opportunity to
`
`evaluate respondents’ interrogatory responses and determine the appropriate path forward. Id.
`
`
`
`There being no opposition and for good cause shown, Motion No. 1368-006 is GRANTED.
`
`The parties are reminded to follow the Ground Rules with respect to bringing any discovery
`
`disputes to my attention.
`
`SO ORDERED.
