`
`ORDER NO. 34:
`
`GRANTING IN PART RESPONDENT’S MOTION AS TO A
`SHORTENED RESPONSE TIME
`
`(April 2, 2024)
`
`Respondent JUUL Labs, Inc. moves for leave to take discovery after the close of fact
`
`discovery, and to exceed the twenty-deposition limit imposed by Commission Rule 210.28. The
`
`motion requests a shortened response time of three days, to Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Motion
`
`Docket No. 1372-029 (EDIS Doc. ID 817209).
`
`During the last case management conference, the parties discussed a shortened response
`
`time for this motion, given that fact discovery has already closed and other deadlines in the
`
`procedural schedule. See Tr. (3/27/24 Case Management Conference) at 24:7–25:4 (EDIS Doc. ID
`
`817012). Given the issues involved, the three-day response time requested by JLI is inadequate.
`
`The request for a shortened response time is, therefore, granted in part. Responses to the motion
`
`shall be due on Friday, April 5, 2024.
`
`SO ORDERED.
