`
`ORDER NO. 14:
`
`GRANTING NON-PARTY CAREFUSION CORPORATION’S
`‘ UNOPPOSED MOTION FOR AN EXTENSION OF TIME TO
`RESPOND TO RESPONDENTS’ SUBPOENAS
`
`(October 20, 2014)
`
`On October 17, 2014, non-party CareFusion Corporation (“CareFusion”) filed an
`
`unopposed motion for an extension of time for CareFusion to file a motion to limit, quash, or
`
`otherwise respond to the subpoenas duces tecum and ad testificandum issued by the U.S.
`
`International Trade Commission upon application made by Respondents Macronix International
`
`Co., Ltd., Macronix Asia Limited, Macronix (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., and Macronix America,
`
`Inc. (collectively, “Macronix”). (Motion Docket N0. 916-O09.) Specifically, CareFusion seeks
`
`an extension of time until October 31, 2014. CareFusion states that Macronix and Commission
`
`Investigative Staff (“Staff”) do not oppose the motion.
`
`CareFusion states good cause exists for the extension. CareFusion states the current
`
`deadline for filing motions to limit or quash the subpoenas is two days afler the date set by the
`
`subpoena duces tecum for responding to Macronix’s document requests. CareFusion states it
`
`needs substantial time to investigate Macronix’s requests before it can substantively respond to
`
`those requests. CareFusion states the extension will also maximize the chances for CareFusion
`
`and Macronix to privately negotiate the scope of the subpoenas and avoid motion practice.
`
`
`
`Because the motion is unopposed and the CareFusion has shown good cause for an
`
`extension of time, Motion Docket No. 916-009 is hereby GRANTED.

`SO ORDERED.
