`
`CIVIL ACTION NO. 2:21-cv-778-TAD-KK
`
`
`
`
`
`MOTION FOR ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE AND
`TO COMPEL COMPLIANCE WITH PRELIMINARY INJUNCTION
`
`Plaintiff States respectfully move this Court for an order directing Defendants to show cause
`
`why they should not be held in contempt for violating the Court’s Preliminary Injunction Order and
`
`for an order directing Defendants to hold Lease Sale 257. This relief is warranted to remedy the
`
`ongoing harms to Plaintiff States from Defendants’ refusal to comply with the injunction’s
`
`straightforward terms, and is supported by the authorities cited in the accompanying memorandum
`
`in support of this motion.
