`On October 16, 2013, the Board granted Petitioner’s request for a

`hearing in the above noted proceedings pursuant to 37 C.F.R. § 42.70. See,

`e.g., Paper 33 in IPR2012-00018. On October 18, 2013, a conference call
`
`was held with counsel for the respective parties and Judges Easthom and
`
`Arbes. Patent Owner requested the conference call to inform the Board that
`
`it preferred to rely on its briefs in the two proceedings rather than appear for
`
`the scheduled hearing (but was not conceding any issues).
`
`Subsequent to the conference call, and on the same day, Petitioner
`
`informed Board personnel that it no longer requests a hearing in either of the
`
`two proceedings and preferred to rely on its briefs (but was not conceding
`
`any issues). Based on the representations made by the parties, it is the view
`
`of the Board that a hearing is not necessary for a decision in either of the two
`
`proceedings.
`
`Accordingly, it is
`
`ORDERED that the hearing scheduled to commence at 9:00 AM
`
`Eastern Time, on November 7, 2013 for IPR2012-00018 and IPR2012-
`
`00019 is vacated.
