`
`
`A conference call was held on March 17, 2015, among counsel for the
`parties and Administrative Patent Judges Wood, Tartal, and Boucher.
`Petitioners request acceleration of the Patent Owner’s deadline for filing a
`Preliminary Response in each proceeding in light of the following facts.
`1. IPR2015-00762 and IPR2015-00763 (“these proceedings”)
`respectively concern the same patents at issue in IPR2014-01121 and
`IPR2014-01122 (“the earlier proceedings”).
`2. The only grounds asserted in these proceedings are identical to
`grounds denied in the earlier proceedings because the petitions in the earlier
`proceedings were incomplete with respect to those grounds.
`3. The Petitions in these proceedings are supported by the same
`declarant testimony of Dr. Mark Ehsani filed by Petitioners in the earlier
`proceedings.
`4. Patent Owner responded substantively to the asserted grounds in its
`Preliminary Responses filed in the earlier proceedings.
`5. Petitioners timely filed respective motions (Paper 4 in each
`proceeding) to join IPR2014-00762 with IPR2014-01121 and to join
`IPR2014-00763 with IPR2014-01122.
`Patent Owner does not oppose the request for acceleration of the
`deadline for filing Preliminary Responses. We grant the request and set the
`deadline for filing a Preliminary Response in each of these proceeding as
`April 21, 2015. We further authorize Patent Owner to use up to 15 pages of
`each Preliminary Response to respond to Petitioners’ respective joinder
`motions.
