`1 This order addresses issues that are the same in all four cases. We exercise
`our discretion to issue one order to be filed in each case.
`

`On September 6, 2016, we issued an order granting requests from
`Patent Owner, Ultratec, Inc., that oral argument be held in these four
`proceedings. Paper 71.2 Petitioner, CaptionCall, L.L.C., had not sought oral
`argument but had requested it be permitted to participate if we held oral
`argument. Id. at 2. Our order set forth a schedule of hearings for the four
`proceedings to be held on September 28, 2016. Id.
`On September 14, 2016, by an email sent to the Board, Patent Owner
`indicated that it wished to withdraw its requests for oral argument in these
`proceedings and requested that the hearings scheduled for September 28,
`2016, be cancelled. Patent Owner indicated in the email that the parties had
`conferred, and Petitioner had no objection to cancellation of the hearings.
`Under the circumstances presented here, we determine that final
`written decisions in these cases may be rendered based on the papers without
`oral argument. Accordingly, it is
`ORDERED that Patent Owner’s request to withdraw its request for
`oral argument in these proceedings is granted; and
`FURTHER ORDERED that the hearings in these proceedings
`scheduled for September 28, 2016, are cancelled.
