`PATENT OWNER’S REQUEST FOR ORAL ARGUMENT
`UNDER 37 C.F.R. § 42.70
`
`
` Vedanti Licensing Limited (“Patent Owner”) hereby requests the
`
`opportunity to have an oral argument at the Board pursuant to 37 C.F.R. § 42.70.
`
`The ’339 patent, which is the subject of the instant
`
`inter partes review is also at
`
`issue in IPR2016-00215 involving the same parties. The briefing and oral
`
`argument have been consolidated in the instant IPR2016-00212. Patent Owner
`
`requests an oral hearing totaling two hours to be divided equally between the
`
`Petitioner, on the one hand, and Patent Owner, on the other.
`
`Patent Owner submits that the issues to be orally argued include all the
`
`instituted grounds of unpatentability for U.S. Patent No. 7,974,339 in each of
`
`IPR2016-00212 and IPR2016-00215, which encompass each of the claim
`
`construction and patentability issues addressed in the Petitioner’s Petition, the
`
`Patent Owner’s Response, Sur-Reply and Motion for Observation and all exhibits
`
`thereto including declarations and depositions. Oral argument may further
`
`encompass all issues raised by the Patent Owner’s Contingent Motion to Amend.
`
`Patent Owner may present rebuttal to Petitioner’s presentation as to all matters
`
`Patent Owner requests that the Board provide audio-visual equipment to
`
`display demonstrative exhibits, including a projector to be connected to a laptop
`
`and a screen for displaying documents.
