`Title: ASYMMETRICAL BEAMS FOR SPECTRUM EFFICIENCY
`
`________________________
`
`
`
`PATENT OWNER’S MOTION FOR ADMISSION
`PRO HAC VICE OF GREGORY ANTRIM PURSUANT TO 37 C.F.R. §42.10
`

`
`
`
`
`

`
`

`

`
`I. RELIEF REQUESTED
`
`
`
`Pursuant to 37 C.F.R. §42.10 and the Board’s “Notice of Filing Date Accorded”
`
`entered on May 3, 2016 and advising of the “Order Authorizing Motion for Pro Hac
`
`Vice Admission – 37 C.F.R. §42.10,” from Paper 7 from IPR2013-00639, PO requests
`
`that the Board admit Gregory Antrim pro hac vice in this proceeding.
`
`
`II. STATEMENT OF FACTS SHOWING GOOD CAUSE FOR THE BOARD
`TO RECOGNIZE COUNSEL PRO HAC VICE DURING THE PROCEEDING
`
`Pursuant to 37 C.F.R. §42.10(c), the Board may recognize counsel pro hac vice
`
`
`
`during a proceeding upon a showing of good cause, subject to the condition
`
`that lead counsel be a registered practitioner and to any other conditions as the Board
`
`may impose. For example, where the lead counsel is a registered practitioner, a
`
`motion to appear pro hac vice by counsel who is not a registered practitioner may be
`
`granted upon showing that counsel is an experienced litigating attorney and has an
`
`established familiarity with the subject matter at issue in the proceeding. 37 C.F.R.
`
`§42.10(c).
`
`
`
`The facts, supported by the attached Declaration of Gregory Antrim in Support
`
`of Motion for Admission Pro Hac Vice (“Antrim Decl.”), establishes good cause to
`
`admit Mr. Antrim pro hac vice in this proceeding.
`
`
`
`As set forth in Mr. Antrim’s declaration, Mr. Antrim has familiarity with the
`
`subject matter at issue in this proceeding. He has worked extensively on reviewing the
`
`materials submitted in this proceeding.
`

`
`1
`
`

`

`
`
`
`Also, Mr. Antrim has extensive administrative patent review experience,
`
`including work on ex parte and inter partes reexaminations, reissue proceedings and
`
`inter partes reviews. This includes work on four inter partes reviews (IPR2013-
`
`00057, IPR2013-00058, IPR2013-00059 and IPR2013-00069), and the corresponding
`
`appeals to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on three of those reviews (-
`
`00057, -00058, and -00069). He is expected to use his experience to support Lead
`
`Counsel during the proceedings, including during depositions.
`
`
`
`Good cause exists to have PO appoint as counsel Mr. Antrim, as an additional
`
`back-up counsel, to assist lead counsel. Furthermore, as set forth in his declaration,
`
`Mr. Antrim attests to all of the remaining matters set forth in Paper No. 7 from Unified
`
`Patents v. Parallel Iron, Case IPR2013-00639 (PTAB Oct. 15, 2013).
`
`
`
`
`
`III. CONCLUSION
`
`
`
`For the foregoing reasons, PO respectfully requests that the Board admit
`
`Gregory Antrim pro hac vice in this proceeding.
