`Pursuant to 37 C.F.R. § 42.10(e), and as authorized by the Board in an e-
`
`mail dated March 17, 2017 (see 37 C.F.R. § 42.20(b)), counsel for Petitioner,
`
`Unified Patents Inc., respectfully files this Motion to Withdraw Counsel and
`
`Substitute New Counsel. Per the Board’s e-mail, this Motion is accompanied by a
`
`new Power of Attorney and Updated Mandatory Notices.
`
`II. STATEMENT OF REASONS FOR SUBSTITUTION OF COUNSEL
`
`Petitioner wishes to withdraw lead counsel, P. Andrew Riley. Mr. Riley has
`
`resigned from Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner LLP, the law firm
`
`representing Petitioner in this proceeding, requiring the designation of new lead
`
`counsel. Petitioner designates new lead counsel, Lionel M. Lavenue (Registration
`
`No. 46,859) and new back up counsel Roshan Suresh Mansinghani (Registration
`
`No. 62,429) to represent Petitioner going forward in this proceeding. Petitioner’s
`
`new counsel meet the requirements of 37 C.F.R. § 42.10(c) as registered
`
`practitioners. No extensions of time are sought with this Motion. It is believed that
`
`granting this Motion will not hinder the economy, the integrity of the patent
`
`system, the efficient administration of the Office, or the ability of the Office to
`
`timely complete this proceeding. See 35 U.S.C § 316(b).
`
`As required by 37 C.F.R. § 42.10(b), a new Power of Attorney is filed
`
`concurrently herewith. Also, Petitioner is concurrently filing Updated Mandatory
`
`
`
`
`
`
`
`
`Notices under 37 C.F.R. § 42.8(b)(3) listing Petitioner’s new lead and backup
`

`counsel. Counsel for Patent Owner regarding Petitioner’s request to change
`
`counsel, and has not objected the withdrawal of current counsel or to the
`
`substitution of new counsel.

`III. CONCLUSION

`For the foregoing reasons, Petitioner and withdrawing counsel respectfully
`
`request that this Motion be granted.
