`
`DECISION
`Granting Petitioner’s Motion for Withdrawal and
`Substitution of Counsel
`37 C.F.R. § 42.10(e)
`

`

`

`IPR2016-01404
`Patent 6,968,459 B1
`
`
`On March 30, 2017, pursuant to our authorization, Petitioner filed a
`motion to withdraw as lead counsel P. Andrew Riley and to substitute new
`lead counsel Lionel M. Lavenue. Paper 12. Petitioner further seeks, via the
`same motion, to add third back-up counsel Roshan Suresh Mansinghani. Id.
`at 1.1 Petitioner represents that Patent Owner does not oppose the motion.
`Id. at 2.
`In the Motion, Petitioner states that both Messrs. Lavenue and
`Mansinghani are registered practitioners and that no extensions of time are
`sought in connection with the Motion. Id. at 1–2. The Motion is
`accompanied by updated Mandatory Disclosures designating Mr. Lavenue
`lead counsel and Mr. Mansinghani as back-up counsel, in addition to James
`D. Stein and Jonathan Stroud, who currently appear as back-up counsel in
`the matter. Paper 14 (“Notice”). Further, the Motion is accompanied by a
`Power of Attorney designating as counsel in this matter the law firm of
`Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP, at which Messrs.
`Lavenue and Stein practice. See Paper 13.2
`Because Petitioner has met our requirements for withdrawing,
`substituting, and adding new counsel, the motion is granted.
`
`
`It is, therefore,
`ORDERED that P. Andrew Riley is permitted to withdraw as counsel
`for Petitioner in this proceeding;
`
`
`1 The motion lacks page numbers. We refer to the pages of the motion
`sequentially, beginning with the first page after the cover page.
`2 It appears Messrs. Mansinghani and Stroud are in-house counsel for
`Petitioner. Notice at 1–2.
