`
`2. Research Concerning Teaching:
`
`Virtual Reality Surgical Simulation of Arthroscopy of the Knee
`After introducing the concept of a virtual reality knee simulator at the AAOS annual
`meeting in 1996, I subsequently became chairman of the AAOS Task Force on Virtual
`Reality. Those efforts have now culminated in the ArthroSim – a virtual reality surgical
`simulator for knee and shoulder arthroscopy – that is now commercially available to
`teaching programs.
