`Petitioners Precision Planting, LLC and AGCO, Corp. (“Petitioners’”)
`
`request a refund of the $15,000 post-institution fee and the $4,200 post-
`
`institution excess claim fee that were previously paid in connection with
`
`IPR2019-01047.
`
`On May 24, 2019, Petitioners filed a petition for inter partes review of
`
`U.S. Patent No. 9,510,502 and paid the USPTO a total of $35,300 at the time of
`
`filing, which included a $15,000 payment for the post-institution fee and a
`
`$4,200 payment for the post-institution excess claim fee required under 37 C.F.R.
`
`§ 42.15(a). On December 2, 2019, the petition for inter partes review was
`
`denied. Paper No. 16.
`
`Petitioners are entitled to a refund of the post-institution fees that
`
`were previously paid. See e.g., 78 Fed. Reg. 4212, 4233 (Jan. 18, 2013),
`
`available at http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2013-01- 18/pdf/2013-
`
`00819.pdf (“The entire post-institution fee would be returned to the
`
`petitioner if the Office does not institute a review.”).
`
`For at least the reasons set forth above, Petitioners respectfully request a
`
`refund of the post-institution fees totaling $19,200 previously paid on May 24,
`
`2019.
