`BAE Systems is a leader in the defense industry. We currently have a need for a
`Vehicle Systems Architect to support our combat vehicle programs.
`
`Note: Any Combat Vehicles Engineering Site is an acceptable work location: Sterling
`Heights, MI (preferred); Minneapolis, MN; San Jose, CA; Phoenix, AZ; or York, PA.
`
`The Vehicle Systems Architect Lead will serve as a core technical subject matter
`expert on Mobile Protected Firepower (MPF) vehicle architecture using a model
`based systems engineering approach. The Vehicle Systems Architect Lead will lead
`development of technical solutions and must be familiar with and contribute to
`management, staffing, schedule, and cost solutions. In addition, the vehicle architect
`will provide guidance to Mobile Protected Firepower (MPF) architecture team on the
`product structure and the system architectural models from vehicle concept through
`detailed design, integration, and test phases.

`Have systems engineering experience/ knowledge necessary to perform
`requirements analysis, derivation and allocation, and translate requirements to
`viable concepts design solutions within applicable constraints.
`Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) methodology and tools,
`preferably MagicDraw.
`Experience developing architecture concepts and evaluating alternatives.
`Have experience and knowledge of computer systems and processors, logic
`devices, interfaces, and high level understanding of operating systems.
`Develop and manage the concept product structures and the associated size,
`weight, power, cooling and cost (SWaP-CC) data, ensuring consistency across
`concepts.
`Balance system design considering system usage concept of operations
`(CONOPS), performance, constraints, and logistics concerns.
`Plan, conduct and document complex trade studies.
`Balance size, weight, power and cost of system.
`Identify and mange related technical and program risks.
`Generate system design concept descriptions and capability assessments per the
`program statement of work (SOW).
`Excellent oral and written communication skills.
`
`Preferred Skills and Education
`
`Experience with military vehicle systems.
`Knowledge of system engineering development and integration methodologies
`including requirement engineering, configuration management, technical
`baseline management, cost estimating and analysis, and decision support
`methodologies.
`Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies,
`including scope, cost and schedule, and resource management, including
`Earned Value Management.
`Experience with Controller Area Network (CAN) Bus strategies and
`implementation, and other relevant networks and protocols.
`Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) methodology and tools.
`Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture (DoDAF)
`Familiarity with VICTORY architecture.
`Knowledge and understanding of DoD cybersecurity certification requirements,
`processes and standards.
`Experience establishing projects in accordance with work breakdown structures
`as defined in MIL-STD-881.
`Logical architecture experience, including development of use cases
`Exposure to hardware/software integration.
`Leadership and mentoring of younger engineers.
`Have and maintain INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
`certification.
