`I hope you are well and having a good week so far. I know that due to the pandemic, obtaining information for this
`matter has been challenging. I wanted to be sure you know that we are also checking in regularly on our end hoping to
`relay anything we learn, as well. We did get a bit of information to pass along, but the information is still very limited.
`
`Yesterday we contacted the Osaka Consulate and they informed us that they will start to consider scheduling
`depositions at the end of May when the State of Emergency is slated to be lifted (May 31). However, they will only be
`scheduling for 3 months out, so the soonest they can likely schedule for is nearly September. HOWEVER, we further
`probed about clients like you who have reservations already previously planned, hoping you may be able to proceed
`sooner than those who have not begun the process....but unfortunately, we could not get any additional clarity. Here is
`their reply: "We still don’t know when we can start our normal operation, yet. Please refer to our website for our
`operation information. Regarding the deposition dates for this particular case, please contact with the firm you are
`retained by."

`So it looks like they won't share specific details about your specific case with us, which is not surprising. You may be able
`to get more specific details on your case later in May. Of course, we will keep you posted as we check in, as well.
`
`Meantime, we canceled through this week, but have not officially canceled the remaining depositions. Please let us
`know if you would like us to cancel, or keep on the schedule until you connect with the Consulate. We are standing by
`for further direction.
