`On August 18, 2020, the Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark

`Office issued a guidance memorandum regarding the use of applicant
`
`admitted prior art or “AAPA” in petitions for inter partes review.1 On
`
`August 26, 2020, the parties filed a joint request seeking authorization for
`
`each party to file a three-page notice of supplemental authority to address
`
`this recent guidance. Ex. 3001.
`
`The parties’ request is granted.
`
`ORDER
`
`In consideration of the foregoing, it is hereby:
`
`ORDERED that each party may submit a notice of supplemental
`
`authority to address the Director’s August 18, 2020 guidance regarding the
`
`use of applicant admitted prior art; and
`
`FURTHER ORDERED that the parties’ submissions are limited to no
`
`more than three pages and are due within five business days.
