`On February 18, 2020, Petitioner Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (the
`
`“Petitioner”) filed a petition for inter partes review of claims 1-20 of U.S. Patent
`
`No. 8,474,197. (Paper No. 1). At the time of filing of the petition, Petitioner paid
`
`$18,000 in inter partes review post-institution fees, in accordance with 37 C.F.R. §
`
`42.15(a)(2) and (4). On August 20, 2020, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board denied
`
`institution of inter pates review of claims 1–20 of U.S. Patent No. 8,474,197. (Paper
`
`No. 12). In view of the Board’s decision and pursuant to the Patent and Trademark
`
`Office’s Final Rule Setting and Adjusting Patent Fees, 78 Fed. Reg. 4212, 4232-
`
`4234 (Jan. 18, 2013), Petitioner hereby requests a refund of $18,000 for the post-
`
`institution fees paid. Upon review and approval of this request, we respectfully
`
`request the Board credit the requested amount to Petitioner. The amount may be
`
`deposited into PTO Account No. 110553.
