`TARGET DATE FOR FINAL WRITTEN DECISIONS ON REMAND
`Patent Trial and Appeal Board Standard Operating Procedure 3
`(“SOP 3”)2 provides that “[t]he Board has established a goal to issue
`decisions on remanded cases within six months of the Board’s receipt of the
`Federal Circuit’s mandate.” SOP 3, 1. SOP 3 further states that “certain
`scenarios may necessitate going beyond the six-month goal for issuing a
`remand decision.” Id.
`In these proceedings the Mandate was issued by the Federal Circuit on
`September 13, 2023. IPR2020-00680, Paper 63; IPR2020-00712, Paper 60.
`Because these proceedings on remand necessitated additional fact discovery,
`additional briefing, and additional oral argument, with a hearing having been
`conducted on February 8, 2024, we find the scenario presented necessitates
`going beyond the six-month goal for issuing remand decisions. Accordingly,
`the target date for issuing final written decisions on remand in these
`proceedings is May 31, 2024.
