`May 2021 Trial Setting and Jury Selection

`The Court has instructed me to advise you that for the May 2021 trial settings, the order of trials will be as follows:
`
`(1) GREE Inc. v. Supercell Oy (2:19-cv-200, 237, 310, 311)
`(2) Acorn Semi, LLC v. Samsung Electronics Co. (2:19-cv-347)
`(3) Gaines v. Central Freight Lines, Inc. (2:20-cv-032)
`(4) Team Worldwide Corporation v. Academy, LTD (2:19-cv-092)
`
`Jury selection will begin on Friday, April 30, 2021. On that day, the Court will empanel two juries, the first for GREE Inc.
`v. Supercell Oy and the second for Acorn Semi, LLC v. Samsung Electronics Co. The Gree jury will be selected first and
`then the Acorn jury will be selected. The Court does not anticipate actually beginning the trial for GREE Inc. v. Supercell
`Oy until the following Monday, May 3, 2021. The second trial in May will begin on May 13.

`As a precaution, a second venire panel will be summonsed for Thursday, May 13, 2021 in case the parties in Acorn Semi,
`LLC v. Samsung Electronics Co. resolve their disputes before their trial begins. If needed, the Court will empanel a new
`jury on that day, and if not needed (using the jury selected on April 30th) the backup venire panel summoned for May 13
`will be dismissed. Should Acorn Semi, LLC v. Samsung Electronics Co. settle between April 30 and May 13, then a
`new jury will be selected, sworn and seated on May 13 for trial to begin immediately in Gaines v. Central Freight Lines,
`Inc. If Gaines should settle before May 13, then the same process will occur as to Team Worldwide.
`

`shared with all members of your trial team and support staff.
