`PETITIONERS’ REQUEST FOR ORAL ARGUMENT
`
`1 Ohio Farmers Insurance Company and Pregis LLC, who filed a petition in
`
`IPR2022-00217, have been joined as petitioners in this proceeding.
`

`Pursuant to 37 C.F.R. § 42.70(a), Petitioners hereby provide this Request for
`
`Oral Argument regarding the unpatentability of claims 1-7 of U.S. Patent No.
`
`7,231,379 on the instituted grounds, and issues briefed with respect thereto.
`
`As noted in the Petitioner reply, the Patent Owner response merely repeats
`
`the same preliminary response arguments already considered by the Board when
`
`deciding to grant institution. E.g., Paper 10, 1. In addition, Patent Owner elected
`
`not to file a surreply in response to the Petitioner reply. In view of this, Petitioners
`
`believe Patent Owner has essentially abandoned any defense of the ’379 patent and
`
`the Board should now enter adverse judgment. If the Board does not enter adverse
`
`judgment, Petitioners request oral argument only to the extent the Board may find
`
`it necessary or helpful.
`
`Should the Board proceed with oral argument, Petitioners collectively
`
`designate the undersigned to present at the oral hearing for all of the joined
`
`Petitioners in a consolidated argument and request a hearing length of 30 minutes
`
`per side. The Oral Argument is scheduled to be held July 26, 2022, pursuant to the
`
`Scheduling Order (Paper No. 8).
