`
`ABSTRACT:
`
`PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent uneven wear at a side surface of a tooth of
`an excavation bucket and early wear at the inlet of an adapter insertion hole.
`
`SOLUTION: Both ends of a cast tooth 3 are provided in the width direction thereof,
`wall portions 10A, I OB are formed in the vertical direction, and a portion 10D is
`provided. A raised portion 1 IB having a width larger than that of the forward end of the
`tooth is provided in the central portion of each side surface of the tooth 3 and a ridge
`portion at the crest of the portion 1 IB is composed of dispersed enveloped casting of hard
`metal particles, and wall portions 12A, 12B having necessary height are provided at the
`upper and lower portions of the inlet of an adapter insertion hole at the proximal end of
`the tooth 3, whereby wear resistance of both side surfaces and upper and lower portions
`of the proximal end of the tooth 3 can be greatly improved.

`
`ABSTRACT:
`
`PURPOSE: To strongly attach exchangeable bits by a method in which after the
`shunk of a bit is fitted into a holding hole, a pin is driven into a groove on
`one side of the shunk through the upper hole of the holder, and the shunk is
`flexed.
`
`CONSTITUTION: To attach a bit 1 to the holder 2 of an excavator in an
`exchangeable manner, the shunk 6 of the bit 1 is fitted into the hole 14 of a
`holder 2, and a pin 3 is fitted into the upper pin hole 15 by turning the
`tapered portion 19 to the tip side. The tapered portion 19 is fitted into the
`groove 13 of the shunk 6 and the pin 3 is pushed in it, whereupon the shunk 6
`is flexed toward the expanded side 17. The shunk 6 can thus be strongly
`connected with the holder 2 without any play.
