`Las Vegas—Ultrahuman, a wearables technology company, has debuted what it calls the world’s first luxury smart ring.
`The Bangalore, India-based company, which launched the Ultrahuman Ring Air in 2023, unveiled its new ring, dubbed
`“Rare,” at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
`The Rare rings blend “timeless elegance” with advanced health technology, said Ultrahuman, incorporating
`photoplethysmography (an optical technique used to detect volumetric changes in blood in peripheral circulation) and six-
`axis motion sensors.
`Wearers can monitor several health indicators, including sleep, movement, heart rate, heart rate variability, stress, and
`skin temperature. The smart ring has up to six days of battery life.
`Rare’s debut collection, the “Desert” collection, features three rings, titled “Desert Rose,” “Dune,” and “Desert Snow.”
`The rings retail for between £1,500 to £1,800 ($1,830 to $2,196).

`“From the intricate fluid elegance of wind-sculpted dunes, each piece embodies the harmonious blend of beauty and
`resilience found in these arid landscapes,” said Ultrahuman said of the “Desert” collection name.
`The Desert Rose and Dune rings are crafted from 18-karat gold sourced from London Bullion Market Association-approved
`refineries and hallmarked by the Bureau of Indian Standards, it said, ensuring authenticity and quality.
`“Rare represents a bold leap forward, merging the artistry of fine jewelry with the precision of advanced health
`technology,” said Mohit Kumar, founder and CEO of Ultrahuman.
`“With Rare, we’ve reimagined what a smart ring can be, creating a masterpiece that not only brings personal wellness but
`also embodies the pinnacle of luxury and craftsmanship.”
`The Desert Rose ring is made in 18-karat rose gold with a brushed texture, inspired by its namesake, which is the colloquial
`name given to the rose blossom-esque “petals” created when crystal clusters of gypsum or baryte form in arid, sandy
`conditions.

`The Dune ring is in 18-karat yellow gold, designed with a smooth-but-textured feel and a brushed finish, mimicking the

`under the sun.
