`ORDER
`Granting Petitioner’s Motion for Pro Hac Vice Recognition of
`Mr. Thomas P. Steindler
`37 C.F.R. § 42.10(c)
`
`
`
`PGR2018-00069
`Patent 9,844,539 B2
`
`
`Petitioner moves for an Order allowing Mr. Thomas P. Steindler of
`
`McDermott Will & Emery LLP to appear pro hac vice on behalf of
`
`Petitioner. Paper 3, see also Paper 4 (declaration of Mr. Steindler in support
`
`of the Motion for Pro Hac Vice Admission). The motion is unopposed by
`
`Patent Owner. 37 C.F.R. § 42.25.
`
`On this record, we determine that Mr. Steindler has sufficient legal
`
`and technical qualifications to represent Petitioner as back-up counsel in this
`
`proceeding. Accordingly, Petitioner has established that there is good cause
`
`for the pro hac vice admission of Mr. Steindler in this proceeding.
`
`Petitioner’s motion is granted. Counsel recognized pro hac vice shall
`
`comply with 37 C.F.R. Parts 11 and 42 and the Office Patent Trial Practice
`
`Guide, 77 Fed. Reg. 48755 (Aug. 14, 2012), and are subject to disciplinary
`
`jurisdiction under 37 C.F.R. § 11.19(a).
`
`Accordingly, it is
`
`ORDERED that Petitioner’s motion for pro hac vice recognition of
`
`Mr. Thomas P. Steindler is granted; Mr. Steindler is authorized to represent
`
`Petitioner as backup counsel only in the instant proceeding;
`
`FURTHER ORDERED that Mr. Steindler shall comply with the
`
`Office Patent Trial Practice Guide and the Board’s Rules of Practice for
`
`Trials, as set forth in Part 42 of 37 C.F.R.; and
`
`FURTHER ORDERED that Mr. Steindler shall be subject to the
`
`Office’s disciplinary jurisdiction under 37 C.F.R. § 11.19(a) and the Office’s
`
`Rules of Professional Conduct set forth in 37 C.F.R. §§ 11.101–11.901.
