`RESPONSE TO BOARD ORDER AND MOTION ON

`CONSENT TO EXTEND
`
`Applicant responds to the Board’s Order dated July 22, 2024 as follows. Applicant and
`
`Opposer have been engaged in negotiations for a worldwide settlement. We hope to conclude
`
`these negotiations soon. The Board’s Order requires Applicant to file an answer or otherwise
`
`respond to the notice of opposition within thirty days. On August 20, 2024, Opposer’s counsel
`
`consented to a motion, to the extent available, to extend the deadline by thirty days. We then
`
`jointly called the Interlocutory Attorney on August 20, to ask whether such a motion would be
`
`an acceptable response to the Board’s July 22 Order. The Interlocutory Attorney called back to
`
`say it would be acceptable. Accordingly, since the parties are negotiating for a settlement and
`
`Opposer consented to a further extension, Applicant respectfully requests that Applicant’s
`
`deadline to answer be extended by thirty days to September 20, 2024.
