`Peer to Peer (P2P) file sharing allows people using P2P software to download and share files with other P2P users
`using the same or compatible P2P software. P2P softwareis readily available on the Internet and often free to
`download. Internet connected devices such as computers, tablets and smartphones running P2P software form a P2P
`network thatallow users on the networkto share digital files. BitTorrent is one of many P2P networks. Fora user
`to becomepart of the BitTorrent network,the user must first obtain BitTorrent software and install it on a device.
`Whenthe BitTorrent software is running and the device is connected to the Internet, the user will be able to
`downloadfiles from other users on the network and share files from their device with other BitTorrent users.
`
`Users of the BitTorrent network wishing to share new contentwill use a BitTorrent program to create a "torrent"file
`for the file or group offiles they wish to share. A torrentfile is a small file that contains information about the
`file(s) and provides a method for a user to downloadthe file(s) referenced in the torrent from other BitTorrent users.
`Torrentfiles are typically found as the result of keyword searches on Internet sites that hostor link to them. Torrent
`files may be referenced by their "infohash", which uniquely identifies the torrent based on the file(s) associated with
`the torrentfile.
`
`To downloadfile(s) from other users on the BitTorrent network, a user typically obtains a torrentfile. The
`BitTorrent software processes the information in the torrent file and locates devices on the BitTorrent network
`sharingall or parts or the actualfile(s) being sought. The download of the content referenced in the torrent is
`achieved after the requesting computer and the sharing computer(s) directly connect to each other through the
`Internet using the BitTorrent software.
`
`On Saturday, January 6, 2024, I was conducting an online investigation on the BitTorrent network for offenders
`sharing child pornography. An investigation wasinitiated for a device at IP address 73.6.231.183, because it was
`associated with a torrent with the infohash: 12a0a2dba245b90c35c3d781a69603e3fb7a4dd3. This torrentfile
`references 21 files, at least three of which wasidentified as beinga file of investigative interest to child pornography
`investigations.
`
`Using a computer running investigative BitTorrent software, a direct connection was madeto the device at IP
`address 73.6.231.183, hereinafter referred to as "Suspect Device". The Suspect Device reported it was using
`BitTorrent client software -qB4620- qBittorrent/4.6.2
`On Saturday, January 6, 2024, between 1124 hrs and 1140 hrs, a download was successfully completed of the
`followingthree file(s) that the device at IP address 73.6.231.183 was making available. The device at IP Address
`73.6.231.183 was the sole candidate for each download, and as such, each files was downloadeddirectly from this
`IP Address.

`On January 9, 2024, I, Deputy Investigator A. Gemelo from the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Unit 72H18, a member
`of the High-Tech Crime Unit, was tasked by Sergeant G. Elofson, as Unit 72S11, HCSO-HTCU,to investigate case
`HCSO 2401-02976. The case involves the Possession/Distribution/Promotion of Child Pornography. I began my
`investigation by reviewingthe initial report and gatheringall available information.
`
`On January 6, 2024, Sgt. Elofson conducted an online investigation on the BitTorrent networkto identify offenders
`sharing child pornography throughoutSgt. Elofson's investigation, a device linked to Internet Protocol (IP) address
`73.6.231.183 became the subject of suspicion due to its association with a torrentfile bearing the info hash
`12a0a2dba245b90c35c3d781a69603e3fb7a4dd3. Thetorrent file references twenty-onefiles, at least three of which
`wereidentified as being a file of investigative interest to child pornography investigations.
`
`During the investigation, a computer running investigative BitTorrent software established a direct connection with the

`On January 12, 2024,I issued an Administrative Subpoena, with Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children
`Task Force reference number - HM004-702, addressed to Comcast Cable. The purpose of this subpoena wasto acquire
`subscriber information pertaining to the IP address 73.6.231.183. This IP address was observed actively sharing
`content, specifically videos containing child pornography. The evidence was gathered by Sgt. G. Elofson,utilizing
`investigative BitTorrent software on a designated computer.
`
`Upon submission ofthe legal process, an automated response email was received from Comcast, acknowledging the
`receipt of the subpoena. Comcast assigned the ticket number REQ0037606for reference.

`The addresssr situated in the Avalon at Spring Green, a gated
`community in Fort Bend County, Texas. Cheshire Edge Lane, a two-lane, non-divided residential road, runs west to
`the east. The structure is a two-story residential, featuring a mix of tan and white textured cementitious exterior wall
`finish, situated on the north side of the street. A concrete driveway extended north from the road, endingat the
`entrance of an attached two-car garage. The main entrance waspositioned centrally on the southern facade of the
`house.

`The weather was clear. The visibility was low dueto artificial lighting during the early morning hours but remained

`and spoke with Ms. Maricella Collins, Admin Clerk, to make notification of the upcoming search warrant event on
`February 7, 2024. I explained there wasnothreat to the school, andit was just a courtesy to let her know,andif
`anything changed, we would immediately notify her and sendaunitto herlocation.

`I also notified the Katy ISD Police Department and spoke with Kaylie to inform her of the search warrantto be
`executed on February 7, 2024, and told her the closest school was within a mile of the area. She stated she would
