`In all cases involving children, parties must attend the seminar "For Kids' Sake" or similar court
`approved programs, prior to qualifying for subsidized mediation and prior to the Court conducting a final

`conducting a final hearing.

` All status conferences are conducted in WRITING. No personal appearance is required.

` Status report forms are available on the website of the 306th District Court.
` You should be prepared to show proof of service by the status conference date.
` Failure to file a status report timely may result in the Court dismissing your case.

`County Court No. 1:

` Parties must submit an Agreed Docket Control Order on or before the date set for the status
`conference; or attend the Status Conference. (Visit the Court's web site for DCO forms).
` Failure to submit an Agreed DCO or attend the status conference may result in the Court
`dismissing the case.

`County Court No. 2: 
`
` The Court does NOT accept written status reports.
` Parties must either submit an agreed docket control order no later than 3:00 p.m. the day before
`the status conference or attend the status conference. Parties are required to use the Docket Control
`Order found on the Court's website, www.co.galveston.tx.us.
` Failure to submit an Agreed Docket Control Order or attend the status conference SHALL result
`in the Court dismissing your case without further notice.

` Parties must either submit an agreed docket control order signed by both parties prior to date set
`for status conference or appear at the status conference.
` Failure to submit an agreed docket control order or attend the status conference may result in the

`MEDIATION SERVICES FOR TEMPORARY ORDERS
`
`FREE pre-temporary orders mediation services are available. For this service, the parties need not
`qualify for subsidized mediation. This service is free to both parties. The Mediation Services Board
`will pay the mediator's fee for two hours of mediation time. Please contact the mediator and the
`opposing party/counsel to arrange a time and date for your FREE two hour mediation session. This
`mediation is to address resolution of temporary issues instead of going to court. If the mediation is
`successful, the agreement will become the basis of the temporary orders, upon approval of the court.
`If the mediation does not resolve all temporary issues, the parties must appear at the scheduled
`hearing.
`
`Attached is a list of mediators who have volunteered to participate in this program. You may choose a
`mediator from the list or any other qualified mediator who will mediate at the subsidized rate.
`
