`BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority, on this day personally appeared DARREN
`WILLIAM COX, whose identity is known to me, and, after being duly sworn, stated that:
`
`1. I have read the Application for Probate of Will and for Issuance of Letters
`Testamentary and acknowledge receipt of a copy of the same;
`
`2. I am the surviving son of JOHN WILLIAM COX, Deceased (“Decedent™).
`
`3. I agree on the advisability of having an independent administration herein;
`
`4, I designate my brother, JOHN WALTER COX, a qualified person, to serve as
`Independent Executor, without bond, of the Estate of Decedent, pursuant to Estates Code Section
`401.002(a);
`
`5. I hereby request that no other action shall be had in this court in relation to the
`settlement of the Decedent’s estate other than the return of an inventory, appraisement and list of
`claims of the Decedent’s Estate;
`
`6. I consent to Applicant’s request that the court grant the Executor general authority
`to sell property, whether real or personal, without my further consent;
`
`7. Pursuant to Estates Code Section 401.004(b), I hereby waive the issuance and
`
`return of service upon me in this cause and accept service herein; and
`
