`Rejection of Claims 1, 9, and 15 Under 35 U.S.C. § 102(a)(1)103(a)

`The cited referencefails to describefiat antenna elements that are parallelto each

`other where one of the elements definesa hole.
`
`Claim 1 has been amendedto recite “a first antenna elementthatis configured for

`
`hole that is configured to pass Radio Frequency(RF)signals of a secondfrequency band
`
`that is different than the first frequency band,” and “a second antenna element that is
`
`configured for use with the second frequencyband thatis different than the first frequency

`
`“an axis that is perpendicular to the first antenna element and the second antenna

`band, and the third frequency band.” The cited referencesfail to anticipate orsuggest
`these features.
`|
`
`For reasons discussed above in section |, Raguenet fails to. describe these
`
`features.
`
`Smith describes an “antenna [that] comprises an upperradiating layer that serves
`
`the GSM band, wherethis consists of crossed dipoles (+45) on arectangulargrid.” Smith,
`5:30-33. Smith's crossed dipoles are notflat, exist in perpendicular planes, and do not
`define any holes.
`|
`Accordingly, for at least the reasons established above in section i, Applicant
`
`respectfully submits that independent claim 9 is not described by Raguenet and Smith
`
`and respectfully requests allowance of this claim.
`
`Claim 15 was rejected under 35 U.S.C. § 103(a) over in Zhao view of Raguenet.

`The cited referencesfail to describe flat antenna elements that are parallel to each
`

`
`Claim +5 has been amendedto recite “a first antenna elementthat is configured

`for use withafirst frequency band, thatis flat, that defines a first plane, and that defines
`
`a hole that is configured to pass Radio Frequency (RF) signals of a second. frequency

`plane,” where “anaxis that is perpendicular to the first antenna element and the second
`
`anienna elementintersects the first antenna element and the second antenna element.”
`
`The cited references fail to anticipate or suggest these features.
`
`Zhao describes that “the antenna dipolesof the first radiation module 10 and the
`
`second radiation module 20 are coaxially disposed (a working frequency band of the
`
`second antenna.unit (a typical value is between 1710 MHz and 2170 MHz)is about twice
