`Use Case4: Scan at Point of Sale
`
`The mobile quick response code (QR) at point of sale use case refers to the enablement of
`mobile devicesto initiate QR code-based payments at Merchantlocations that can acceptthis
`form of payment at the point of sale. In this use case, an application in the mobile device
`generates a dynamic QR codeevery time a paymentis initiated in a secure manner. When a
`transaction is initiated, the mobile device will generate a transaction including the Payment
`Token, Token Expiry Date, and Token Cryptogram elements, and any other data from the QR
`code, and passit to the Merchant’s point of sale terminal.
`
`The impacts defined for this case are shownin the following figure.

`Digital Debit® solves the problem about security of EMVCo Tokenisation
`Specification 1.0 QR transactions (Section 9.5) with the use of a Dynamic
`PIN saved to the Token Vault.
`
`The Digital Debit Dynamic PIN creates a new PIN after each QR
`transaction.
`
`
`
`Vise Case implementation Related Payment Tokenisation Guestions
`
`5. in the Mobile OR code (ORC) use case, GAC may be easily copied and stored. Are there plans
`te create one-time use GAC Payment Tokens or have a shart validity period to enhance Ne
`security? WH the QRHO contain only the Payreent Token or will H include other dynamic
`components Issued by the GAC service provkler?
`
`The Mobile OF onda use case is an example of how tokenisation coukd be used in an emnercing
`accenlance environment. Currently EMVCao does not specify QR code solutions. However, ihe
`example use case Hlustrates how & 28 code could inchude a token crypiogram to protect agains!
`T@USse,
`
`4. in the specication, a payment enabler such as Griginal Equipment Manufacturer (OEN}
`device manufacturers could act as a Token Requestor. Does this mean that a handset
`providers OEM could also request Payment Tokens? Can a telecommumnications service
`provider aleo be the Token Requestor?
`
`Yes, a harviset provider's OEM or a talacommunications service grovider could be a Token Recustor
`W approved by the Token Servine Provider.
