`
`CIVIL ACTION NO. 2:21-CV-00129-JRG
`(Member Case)
`
`ORDER
`Before the Court is Defendant Sonos Inc.’s (“Sonos”) Motion to Stay Pending Targeted
`
`Venue Discovery and Federal Circuit Appeal in Amazon I (the “Motion”). (Dkt. No. 69). In the
`
`Motion, Sonos argues that this case should be stayed pending venue discovery and a decision from
`
`the Federal Circuit in Vocalife LLC v. Amazon.com, Inc., Appeal No. 21-1937 (“Amazon Appeal”).
`
`Having considered the Motion and the subsequent briefing, the Court finds that the Motion should
`
`be and hereby is DENIED-WITHOUT-PREJUDICE. Targeted venue discovery will end in
`
`approximately one month, and the Court is not persuaded that it would be more efficient to stay
`
`this case pending venue discovery and the Amazon Appeal at this time. However, Sonos has
`
`leave to refile its motion to stay based on the Amazon Appeal after the Court has decided
`
`Sonos’s forthcoming venue motion (if the appeal is still outstanding and incomplete at that time).
